Kadın: Don't Be Rude To Tourists

AROSUKA, KOMPAS.com-Chairman of the Chamber of commerce industry (Kadin) Solok, West Sumatra community that Ben Syafrizal appealed to be hospitable to tourists visiting the tourist locations in the area.

"Never be rude to tourists, because it could damage the image of the region and the community," he said in Arosuka, Solok, West Sumatra, Friday (20/8/2012).

According to him, Solok Regency is a tourist destination because it has a potential tourist attractions like Lake Singkarak Lake, Lake, on the bottom of the Garden, Tea, warm water Baths, and so on.

"Common on holidays, good schools, holiday lebaran, attractions are invaded, surely every visitor visitors who come want to get friendly service from the public," he said.

He said, if in the unlikely event there are tourists who get services such as the indication of unfriendly wild charges (Pungli), the word is not polite, and so would be able to damage the image of tourism in the area.

"We don't want because a handful of people who have this potential tourist will be China," he said.

He also appealed to traders in the tourism object location so as not to raise the price on it in a snap.

"If traders suddenly raise prices on Idul fitri will be damaging the image of their own, so that traders can make visitors antipathy," he said.

According to him, is his habit at the time of price increases at the rate of Idul fitri traders indeed common, but it is precisely this will make visitors cancel purchase.

"Don't expect to get lucky later due to the large image is damaged, and the traders would not want to buy it, the merchant will eventually lose out," he said.
